ON r-REGULAR CONVERGENCE
In his paper On sequences and limiting sets [ l ] , 1 G. T. Whyburn introduced the notion of regular convergence. He showed that in the cases of 0 and 1 regular convergence (see definition below) that the limit of sequences of many simple topological sets is of the same type as the members of the sequence. I t is the purpose of this paper to extend some of these results to higher dimensions. Th...
متن کاملThe Lebesgue Monotone Convergence Theorem
For simplicity, we adopt the following rules: X is a non empty set, S is a σ-field of subsets of X, M is a σ-measure on S, E is an element of S, F , G are sequences of partial functions from X into R, I is a sequence of extended reals, f , g are partial functions from X to R, s1, s2, s3 are sequences of extended reals, p is an extended real number, n, m are natural numbers, x is an element of X...
متن کاملMultilinear perceptron convergence theorem.
An adaptive perceptron with multilinear couplings is introduced. While an adap-tive perceptron exhibits severe shortcomings if it is applied to complex tasks, this is not so for the adaptive multilinear perceptron.
متن کاملIsotopy Convergence Theorem
When approximating a space curve, it is natural to consider whether the knot type of the original curve is preserved in the approximant. This preservation is of strong contemporary interest in computer graphics and visualization. We establish a criterion to preserve knot type under approximation that relies upon convergence in both distance and total curvature.
